First let me add my congratulations to Sean's accolades - he
has set a standard that few will (thankfully) now try to emulate and I will also
be nominating him for Australian of the Year ... I can see the PM now, chin
up, proudly saying '...for although biridng is not widely recognised as a sport,
it is in fact the GREATEST GAME OF ALL and Sean is truly its
Dooley Lama ...'
For my part, I am happy to see my record attempt of 1992
blown to smithereens (although I tried to fit it in between full-time work
commitments).
However, this message is actually a RFI: I will shortly have
half a day to spare in Santiago Chile - can anyone who knows the
city advise me of any birding spots nearby and easily
accessible?
