Craig,

I also started developing a birding database with grandiose visions a few
months back. I think I've made a half decent start, but it still needs lots
and lots of work. More than happy to send you what I've got to date.

Anthony,

I'd be interested in seeing a copy of your database if that's OK.

So far there have been a couple of database structure design issues that
I've struggled with:

1. How to develop a really flexible was to create bird lists (from a full
Australian bird list) for any state/region/locality/site. I think I've
almost got this one nutted!

2. How to present the user (who's just been out in the field and seen heaps
of new birds!) with a local bird list which the user can then add numbers,
sex, habitat, weather details against. I solved this with a clumsy system
of append and update queries... but I'm hoping to improve it.

Any other Access developers out there who'd be interested in seeing what
I've got, or sharing their own work?

Trent
