Hello Everyone,
I have just made up my home bird chart for the new year, if anyone wants a
copy. It is a simple Excel spreadsheet which lists all the birds in one
column, and then allocates a column to each week of the year. It adds
automatically how many weeks a certain species has been seen, and how many
birds have been seen for each week. At the moment it has a list of all the
birds I have seen or heard in my home patch over the years, but that's easy
to remove. If you want a copy of the list without my birds listed, please
specify. In accordance with the rules, I am not sending it to the list- you
will have to request it directly from me.
For the first time in memory, last year I couldn't keep up my list. I was
just too busy, too much out and about, and out of tune with the birds in our
patch. Used to having me do the list, my husband, James, thought I would get
back to it. This week, in frustration, he asked me to make up the list for
the new year and undertook to manage it himself. Wonders will never cease.
