The Brahminy Kite was still at Caloote this evening on the River Murray
between Murray Bridge and Mannum (80km E of Adelaide South Australia).

This individual is way out of its normal range and has been there for quite
a few days now.

This is my first new species for some time. Quite a tick.

Also of interest was the sighting of 4 Crimson Rosellas (Adelaide Rosellas).
This species is not often seen so far east of the Mt Lofty Ranges.

Other species present were:

Whistling Kite
Black Duck
Purple Swamphen
Black Tailed Native Hen
Whiskered Tern
Clamorous Reedwarbler
Pelican
Little Pied Cormorant
Little Black Cormorant
Galah
Little Corella
Red Rumped Parrot
Crimson (Adelaide) Rosella
White Browed Babbler
Willie Wagtail
Welcome Swallow
Spotted Turtledove
Crested Pigeon
Coot
Blackbird
Rainbow Beeeater
Magpie Lark
White Plumed Honeyeater
Little Raven
House Sparrow
Magpie
Goldfinch

A modest list to start my 2003 list, but it includes a lifer.

Happy birding in 2003
