Dear Sirs
My name is Peter Duckworth and I am a member of Birds Australia and the Tasmanian branch. I also coordinate any interesting observations for the north and north east of Tasmania for the Tasmanian Bird Report with Ralph Cooper of Legana, Launceston, who is our regional organiser for the Atlas.
I have just heard about sightings of Little Ringed Plover in the Tamar Wetland near Launceston and would appreciate any information about observers, dates and locations. Wouldn't mind seeing them myself! Any sightings could be added to the Birds Tasmania database as Little Ringed Plover are very rare in Tasmania and we have no records from the Tamar.
The only name I have is Edwin Vella.
Many thanks in anticipation of your help
Cheers, Peter D
