Hi All
I am new to birding and I want to keep
track of the birds I see on my daily walk through the local bush.
Is there a standard way to record citings? What is the
best method? I regularly see up to 30 species in an hours walk I do most
days from my house.
I started to get more interested in
birds recently when a little bird appeared in the grevillea outside the
loungeroom window and I had never seen it before. It turned out to be an Eastern
Spinebill, I have since seen a lot more of then not far from home as well as a
whole stack of species that I didn't realize where even found in my area
(northern end of Lake Macquarie NSW) it's amazing what you find when you
look.
Also are White Cheeked Honeyeaters
common in this area? I was watching a few Fairy Wrens in a grevillea on 12/12
and a bird landed in the same grevillea and it was quite striking with it's
yellow colouring against black after a few mins a second bird joined the first
and they continued to feed for a few minutes before flying
away.
Thanks for any help
