Bird list: Woodlands historic Park/Twitchathon

I was leading a BayBOCA walk at Woodlands Historic Park
(near Melbourne Airport) on 26 October, the day of the
Victorian Twitchathon.  Managed to raise a few cents - not
bad given the generally difficult birding that day.

Found Red-capped Robins at three sites, with fledged young
at two of them in a total of 46 species - plus a Brown Snake
- in about 5 hours starting at Providence Road and moving to
Somerton Road in the afternoon. A Black Kite was seen later
on near the historic house by two members.

A strong contrast with the previous week when, on 19
October, Graham Hoskins led a BOCA beginners outing to the
park. They saw almost as many species much more quickly,
including Wedge-tailed Eagle and three species not on any
list for the park that I knew about:
                                White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike
                                Leaden Flycatcher
                                Restless Flycatcher
