Hi Peter
Whilst watching my Grey Butcherbird family -
mum, dad & 2 kids - frolic in my bird bath the other day I had very similar
thoughts to you about the Grey Butcherbird's relationship to the
kingfishers. The young looked so like small kookaburras that I 'looked
twice' to make sure they were butcherbirds!
