G'day all,

We want to thank all the people that helped us in one ore the other way to make our Australia trip this good. We finished of with 504 species in 5,5 weeks and many good species including the totals. We drove 15.000 kms, and had two planes in the mean time, one from darwin to Adelaide and one to Lady Elliott Island. Bassicaly we started around Sydney, went to Cairns, Iron range, Barkly Tablelands, Wyndham, Darwin, Kakadu, waikerie, Deniliquin, Yellingbo, Chiltern, Canberra and Sydney again.

25-10 Barren Grounds: Eastern Bristlebird, Pilotbird
26-10 Dharug: Superb Lyrebird, lewins rail Warriewood Sydney: Satin Flycatcher
28-10 Lamington: Rufous Scrub-bird, Alberts Lyrebird
29-10 Mt Glorious: Marbled Frogmouth
30-10 Inskipp Point: Mangrove Honeyeater
31-10 Lady elliott Island: American Golden Plover, Little Frigatebird, red-tailed Tropicbird, Little Grassbird & Bundaberg Bot Gardens: Freckled Duck 3

1-11 Eungella: Eungella Honeyeater 3
2-11 Mt Spec: Golden Bowerbird & Trebonne: eastern Grass Owl 3
3-11 Mission Beach: Southern Cassowary 2& cardwell: Mangrove Robin & Botanical gardens Cairns: Red-necked Crake 2
4-11 Cairns Croc farm: White-browed Crake 2 & Big Mitchell creek: White-browed Robin 2
5-11 Wentworth Falls: Rufous Owl, Varied Sitella & Kingfisher Park: Lesser Sooty Owl 1
6-11 Kingfisher Park: Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher
7-11 Musgrave: Golden-shouldered Parrot 25, Lotus Bird Lodge Red Goshawk 1 ad + 1 juv * Musgrave Roadhouse: Oriental Plover

8, 9 en 10-11 Iron Range: most endemics excl White-streaked HE, Red-bellied Pitta (Green Python was a non-bird highlight)

11-11 Esplanade Cairns: Broad-billed Sandpiper
12-11 Cumbeland-dam: Black-throated Finch
13-11 MacNamaras Road: Carpentarian Grasswren, Mt Isa: Spotted Bowerbird & Alroy Downs: Flock Pigeon (500+)
14-11 Barkly Homestead: Black Falcon 4 (Budgerigar 20.000), Alroy Dows: Cockatiel 5.000, Black Falcon 2 & waterbore 210 kms North of Barkly Homestead: Yellow Chat (female)

15-11 Victoria Roadhouse: Lovely Fairy-wren, White-quilled Rock-pigeon & Ivanhoe Road Kunnunura: Long-toed Stint 2, Yellow-rumped Mannakin

16-11 Wyndham Boatramp: White-breasted Whistler, Ivanhoe Road: yellow-rumped Mannakin, Oriental Pratincole 8
17-11 Darwin east Point: Beach Tick-knee en various Little Curlews (also the other days), Bufalo Creek: Yellow Wagtail
18-11 Like at 17-11 few Brown Boobies at Darwin
20-11 Fogg Dam: 5 White-browed Cracke, 4 Rainbow Pitta & Holmes Jungel: Red-backed Buttonquail & King Quail
21-11 Kakadu: Lavender Fairy-wren, Chestnut-quilled Rock-pigeon, White-linned Honeyeater
22-11 Kakadu: 4 Great-billed Herons, 4 Little Kingfishers & Pine Creek (14 km north) Hooded parrot (4)
24-11 Gluepot: Pied Honeyeater, harts Lagoon: Spotless Crake
25-11 Victor Harbour: Little Penguin, Pacific Gull & Goolwa: Fairy Tern, Hooded Plover and at waikerie Malleefowl 2
26-11 Waikerie: Orange Chat & Aus Crake
27-11: Murray-sunset NP: Mallee Emu-wren 20, Straited Grasswren, Gilberts Whistler, Blue Bonnet, Shy Hylacola & Lake Tyrell: Rufous Hylacola & Orange Chat

28-11: Deniliquin: Black, Pied & Painted Honeyeater, Little Bittern, Superb Parrot, Plains Wanderer, Inland Dotterel
29-11: Toolangi: Pink Robin & Mt Ida: Scarlet Robin & Speckled Warbler
30-11 yellingbo: 3 helmeted Honeyeaters
1-12 Chiltern: nothing worth to mention, many Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters & Canberra (1-12-02): Gang Gang Cockatoo (Botanical Gardens)

2-12 North Epping: No Powerfull Owl despite searching for 3 hours!
