As a WIRES rescuer in the Blue Mountains I have looked after several Little Button-quail over the years. They have usually flown into a window or been attacked by a cat. Only once (in 1993) has a Red-chested Button-quail come into care. This one collided with a shop window in Katoomba. It was concussed but made a speedy recovery and was released. I suspect there may have been more but sometimes new members misidentify birds.
