Thanks to Lawrie Conole for sending a copy of the Birding-Aus Guidelines to the
list.
I probably should call them "RULES" because some people think they can be
followed or broken as they like. Let me put it another way ...
Free membership of Birding-Aus is open to anyone who wants to read and write
about our subject matter - Australian wild birds, etc - and as long as they
follow the guidelines of the mailing list. Those who ignore these guidelines
frequently or blatantly, such as in a personal attack on another person on the
list, may be removed and have their email address or name blocked.
Today I removed Marilyn Davis from the list. She is welcome to return of she
agrees to abide by the guidelines. Other people with a strong view on the
banding issues have at least kept away from personal attacks, and as long as we
can let the issue rest for a while, that will be all.
If you have any strong feelings about this please reply to me and NOT TO THE
LIST
(yep - that's shouting).
Thank you
Russell Woodford
