Hi
Travelled to Brunswick Hds on Saturday for an overnight camp with
daughters. Had a walk in the Brunswick Hds Nature Reserve - the part on the
North side of the river, beside the main highway bridge - from there down
the dirt road to the oyster farm early Sunday morning and general
observation around the area. Saw a White-necked Heron fly over the road,
usual Corellas and Wattlebirds knocking around and 1 Fan-tailed Cuckoo.
Seemed to be a fairly high concentration of Yellow Robins in this small
patch of bush - I saw 6 - 3 of them together at one time, along the
kilometre of track?
Best bird was a Wandering Tattler at the mouth of the river at low
tide, on the rocks, on the river side of the North wall. Very close views
available for anyone interested. Checked out Hastings point on the way home
- fairly windy, from the NE - nothing of interest. Maybe the usual Hasting's
Point Tattler was sheltering at Brunswick?
