g'day all,

Just before dawn (5.30am) I thought I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo.
A little later, at the Golf-course I saw a single C-b C being vigorously chased by several Magpies the full length of a fairway.

In March last year, at the Golf Course, it took about 6 Magpies going flat out to feed & bring up 2 young Cuckoos.

Could it be they were some of the same Magpies & they did not want to go through that experience again ?

Regards,
Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Queensland.

ps   We are due north of Adelaide and are about an hour behind Brisbane's sunrise.
