some reasons to keep your bird bath topped.

Some sidelights to the drought. Ron Barker, of Nowra: "It has some good
points! Our garden has become a haven for the most wonderful native birds,
and the odd snake. We've seen many varieties of parrots, including what we
think is a gang gang, drinking from the fishpond and bird bath. We also have
resident wattle birds and now a satin bower bird seems to be moving in. "
Leoni Hubbard, of Faulconbridge: "The wallabies and possums aren't the only
thirsty wildlife (Column 8, Monday). When I was watering my vegetables, a
small lizard came from under a rock to lick the drops on the bean plants! I
now put out very flat dishes of water for the smaller creatures."

Cheers
Karen.
