Hey All, Too add to Tims Great Bowerbird thievery, I found quite a few interesting ornaments in some bowers at Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park, NT. Many bowers had galvinised and stainless steel nails, bolts, nuts and washers in them, stolen from the Parks and tour operator workshops. The rangers had to periodically 'raid' some of the bowers, particularly if specific stainless steel bolts and parts go missing when they are working with them. They often had toys in them. There were green marbles, plastic objects and in one case, a toy, silver ninja star. But the best bower would have to be the one with a green army man set up, standing in the middle of the bower, leaning on his rifle, throwing a grenade down the tunnel.
