The Canada Goose is now a pest in North America. They have stopped migrating
around the cities as there is enough food to keep them going through the
winter and have built up massive numbers. The cities like Vancouver have to
pay people to find the nests and shake them or paint oil on them so that
they don't hatch.
Also, in certain areas like Montagny in Quebec, the Snow Goose is becoming
too common for the habitat and they are trying to encourage hunting.
