Earlier this year and last year members of the Hunter Bird Observers
Club have reported Banded Lapwing at Bolwarra, north of Maitland NSW.
This morning I saw 20 on the turf farm at the eastern end of Flat Road,
which leads off Paterson Road at Hands Lagoon.
Harold Tarrant of HBOC has also recently reported the female Cotton Pygmy Goose on Hands Lagoon but it was not evident this morning.
