A Common Blackbird has been reported at Murdoch University in Perth. It was seen in the southern part of the campus near Farrington Road and the Winthrop Baptist College in a patch of pine trees. This is very close to Kardinya where a pair were seen last year. The Common Blackbird is a declared pest in WA and I have reported it to the Agriculture Department. So please keep a close eye out for this species (e.g. if visiting North Lake) and report any further sightings to me, or to Marian Massam at the Agriculture Department (9366 2300). ___________________________________________________________________ Frank O'Connor Birding WA http://members.iinet.net.au/~foconnor Phone : (08) 9386 5694 Email : Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
