Hi everybody!
I am studying the Australasian Gannets at Pope's Eye in Port Phillip Bay,
Victoria
for my Honours project. I need volunteers to help me record details, assist
with
weighing adult birds and chicks and collecting food samples. The main
reason I need volunteers is that I cannot go out to Pope?s Eye on my own
for Occupation Health and Safety reasons. I only need 1or 2 volunteers each
time.
Field trips will take place on weekdays only and each field trip will be of
1 day
duration. I am hoping to go out 1-2 times each week. It is possible for the
volunteers to meet me at Queenscliff Marine Station (behind the Marine
Discovery
Centre) usually at 9am or go with me from Melbourne, meeting at 7.30 at my
place in Niddrie (near Essendon).
Field trips will be planned about a week in advance, but since they are
weather
dependent, I usually cannot confirm a field trip until 1-2 days beforehand.
I you
are interested please contact me and let me know which days suit you best,
or if
there is a period of time that suits you. Gannets are beautiful and
fascinating
birds!
Please contact me ASAP on:
