Hi Martin,

I recorded a very vocal male Mistletoebird at Barkers Creek, Victoria,
superbly imitating at least ten species on 27 September 2002 at a height of
about 2 m and a distance of about 4 m from me. The species I remembered
imitated in one statement were in order: Dusky Woodswallow, Spotted
Pardalote, Silvereye, Brown-headed Honeyeater, European Goldfinch, Grey
Fantail, Eurasian Blackbird, Golden Whistler, White-throated Treecreeper and
Grey Shrike-thrush. Just short but recognisable segments spliced into a
statement uttered in a clear but quieter voice than the more typically
boisterous Mistletoebird calls.

All the best,

Charlie
