I have been told of a sighting of Red-tailed Black Cockatoos on the Merri Creek at Clifton Hill, Melbourne, about a fortnight ago. I know this sounds highly improbable, but I would regard my informant as reliable, he and his companion saw the birds at very close range. He is familiar with YT Blacks and Gang Gangs in the same area. Duncan Fraser.
