For the record, we bird 2-3 times a week and record our observations.
During September (7 mornings plus odd sightings), we've seen the following
that we don't have a long-term record for-
White-faced Heron returned 15 September (not seen since 9 July);
Australian King-Parrot - 2 sightings - 11 & 19 September;
Dollarbird returned 29 September;
Sacred Kingfisher - 26 September;
Pheasant Coucal returned 19 September;
Grey Fantail not seen since 1 September;
Golden Whistler not seen since 6 September;
White-winged Triller - first sighting - 28 September;
Varied Triller seen 1, 6 and 28 September;
Spangled Drongo not seen since 29 August;
White-throated Gerygone not seen since 8 September;
Yellow-rumper Thornbill seen only on 8 September;
Golden-headed Cisticola returned 1 September;
Mistletoebird not seen since 17 August;
Scarlet Honeyeater - pair sighted 12 September;
Little Friarbird returned 1 September (not seen since 24 April);
Olive-backed Oriole not seen since 17 August
Our residents include-
Crested Pigeon; Dusky Moorhen; Masked Lapwing;
Pacific Black Duck; Collared Sparrowhawk; Rainbow Lorikeet;
Scaly-breasted Lorikeet; Sulphur-crested Cockatoo; Galah;
Pale-headed Rosella; Laughing Kookaburra; Willie Wagtail;
Magpie-lark; Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike; Superb Fairy-wren;
Red-backed Fairy-wren; Brown Honeyeater; Torresian Crow;
Pied Butcherbird; Australian Magpie; Feral Pigeon;
Striated Pardalote; Cattle Egret;
Spotted Turtle-Dove; Common Myna; Common Starling
