Hi all

Yes, there are a few viral messages doing the rounds. Basically, if you've
sent ANYONE a message in the last few days, you need to be on guard. If you
sent a message to birding-aus, then you may get replies from any of the
members.

The telltale signs appear to be an attachment of about 69Kb or 70Kb and either
no message or a few lines clipped off. it appears that the new menace is
called BugBear and it grabs stray files from the host computer before sending
them as attachments. it somehow replicates itself inside those attachments.

Golden rule - don't open it if you don't know what's in there! Better still,
read all your email via a web browser and set it to not automatically
open/download attachments.

Good luck

Russell
