Hi all I mentioned in my last posting a small sandpiper that had been seen at a swamp near Darwin. I went out today and luckily (since it's very hot and sticky) was able to find it within a few minutes. Turned out to be a Broad-billed Sandpiper - not the earth-shattering bird hoped for (Western would have been preferred), but nonetheless a very nice little bird.
