We were also in this area last Sunday. At Long neck lagoon there were very few waterbirds, but a few nice sightings such as White-throated Treecreeper, Golden Whistler, Eastern yellow Robin, and Double-barred and Red-browed Finches.

Mitchell Park included Variegated Fairy-wrens, Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters hassling a Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Spotted Pardalotes, a Painted Button-quail (I think), Peaceful Dove, Chestnut-rumped Heathwren and a large flock of White-browed Woodswallows, with some Masked moving through the trees.

A brief visit to Pitt Town Lagoon amonst other things gave us the Red-necked Avocet and a very noisy patch of reeds - Clamorous Reed-warblers?

All in all a very pleasant day.
