The water-level in our pool has dropped to a metre from the top, and our White-faced Heron can't reach the frogs, lizards, mice and other wildlife that fall in and make swimming so interesting. The WFH has taken to flying low over the pool and picking these morsels off the surface while in flight, somewhat like a Skimmer. The beasties next to the pool wall elude it, but as soon as something swims into the middle, FLAP & SNAP.
