All, Went out to Windsor area this morning and saw close to 100 species between Mitchell Park and McGraths Hill in just 3 hours! Most of the sightings were as expected but here are some of the highlights.

Mitchell Park:

Saw 2 Pallid Cuckoos in trees bordering the layby just before the Mitchell Park turnoff on the Pitt Town Rd, also 5 Red-Kneed Dotterals on the lake at this location. In Mitchell Park itself saw 49 species in 1.5 hours including: heaps of White-Throated Gerygones, Olive-Back Orioles, Yellow-Tufted Honeyeaters, also White-Bellied Cuckoo-Shrike, Varied Sitella, Variegated Fairy Wren, Yellow Thornbill, Dusky Woodswallow, as well as a single Bassian Thrush on the track behind the swamp near the old gate.

McGraths Hiil:

Baillons Crakes are out and about again for spring - I counted at least 14 individuals, also 3 Glossy Ibis, 2 Horsefields Bronze-Cuckoo, several Eurpean Goldfinches, both Royal and Yellow-Billed Spoonbill, both Little and Tawny Grassbirds as well as GH Cisticolla. Red-Kneed and Black-Fronted Dotterals both present as well as a single Hoary-Headed Grebe (51 species seen in total).
