Hello All,
The annual Birds Queensland Twitchathon will be held on the 2-3 November
2002. Birders who will be in Queensland that weekend are invited to take
part.
All funds raised are spent on ornithological research in Queensland and,
as all office bearers are volunteers, every cent goes to that research
fund. All research grant applications go through a rigorous process of
scientific appraisal.
This year we have expaneded the variety of categories in the twitch to
accommodate those with less than 24 hours to spend on twitching, those
who do not want to drive about and beginners. We still have the full,
24 hour (noon to noon), full-on twitch for full-on twitchers!
Please contact me if you would like to register a team (of 2-5 persons)
to take part or if you would like more information.
I will not have e-mail access for 3 weeks from Monday 16th September so
please be patient if you don't hear for a while.
