The Rainbow Bee Eaters are back in the Capertee Valley (NSW).
They may have been here for a few days, but when we
arrived to do some planting yesterday, we were greeted
with their welcome sight.
Lets hope they pick more sensible spots for their nest tunnels this year.
Last year they used our sandy access road which was a bit tricky for
everyone.
I was also going to report that the Regent Honeyeaters are back in force
as well, but have not seen any this weekend yet.
We spotted a pair about three weekends ago.
Then the following week a flock of 20ish !!
Last week they were scattered all over
but so far none sighted.
Perhaps the lack of trees in flower
has sent them off again.
There has been some much needed rain in the valley
over the last week. Visitors should check the easily
accesable bridge at Huntingdale Rd as we did hear Regents
there one day.
