Hello everyone at Birding-aus and Northside Birders.

The Noisy Pitta was again at Irrawong Reserve this afternoon (Wed.). A
couple of Cumberland Bird Club members and I saw it briefly. Cumberland were
having a mid week outing in the vicinity. The bird was seen at the small
clearing where it was first reported.

The Baillon's Crakes did not show at Katoa Close board walk until shortly
after 4.00 P.M. when two fed on the mud until about 5.00 when a Latham's
Snipe emerged from the reeds to feed in full view, the crakes then
disappeared. I don't know if they didn't like the snipe or the failing light
made some other feeding area more attractive.

I watched the snipe until 5.30 and as I was leaving a Nankeen Night Heron
circled around overhead.

Bruce.
