At Bushy Park on the Avon River, NE of Maffra V. this afternoon, a brilliant
male Red-capped Robin and his mate. Also hundreds of Red-browed Finches and
Superb Blue Wrens, groups of Grey Shrike Thrushes and Yellow Robins engaged
in territorial behaviour, and a big Echidna pottering about. Extremely dry,
just like mid summer. Duncan Fraser
