I filmed the Painted Snipe at Banyule in Melbourne for about 15 minutes in November 2001. It is hardly very exciting video for most of that time but I would be quite content to have it used for that purpose.

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] video

Early in October, the Channel 10 program "Totally Wild" is recording a
segment on Australian Painted Snipe.  They are using the Hope Island
(Queensland) site as a background.

Ideally, they would like to video the birds.  There are two problems with
this. The birds may not be there and if they are, they may not show
themselves.  I have still photos of the birds and access to a short video
segment which the owner says is not fully in focus.  I haven't seen it yet.
Channel 10 is unable to locate video either.

Is there anyone out there who has a short length of video of AUSTRALIAN
Painted Snipe which could be used if necessary?

If you can help, please reply direct.
