This morning there were two Baillon's Crake present at the platform in Westgat Park as described by Richard yesterday. Very easily observed, in the reeds at the base of the platform (looking back towards it). One walked around the edge into the area described by Richard passing within 8 feet of me. Also interested to see what appeared to be a solitary black-tailed native hen, and a female rufous whistler amongst my species total of 46. Joy Tansey Kensington, Vic.
