Today at Cape Solander at lunch time a White bellied Sea Eagle was soaring. also spotted were a flock of yellow tailed black cockatoos that flew by at quite close range, they seemed to be foraging around the heathland, possibly after Banksia Seeds? Also at work I have come across a silver gull carcass, wings intact with body picked clean and also another with just the head and wings. I suspect they are Peregrine victims. Apparently Pergrines have been spotted taking pigeons at the refinery. rgds, Chris Ross Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
