Hello B ausers, There appears to be plenty of Lathams Snipe here in the Hawkesbury this year saw some at all the Lagoons we looked at on Wednesday,Lots of Red-kneed Dots at most locations also they will probably stay here to breed this year, unless the draught breaks inland. The only Freckled Duck we saw were two at Powells/Fernley's lagoon. The Marsh sandpiper is still at Pitt Town lagoon with legs as yellow as a Lesser Yellowlegs and Skylarks were in full song on the turf farms, where there are two pairs of Banded Plovers which look to be nesting. For those who dont know the Hawkesbury area is 50km N/W of Syd. Good birding keith Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
