PROACT FRANCE - ANTI-HUNTING CAMPAIGN

"The French Government is once again failing in its obligations under
the EU Bird Directive to provide protection for migratory waders, ducks
and other water birds - many of whom have not completed the breeding
process - by permitting hunting of certain species in August.

Please support the French Bird Protection League (LPO)in their campaign
to protect these birds and their habitats by sending a lette of protest
to the responsible European Commissioners. A proposed text, which all
are free to revise in their own words, can be found at

NO AIRPORT @ CLIFFE

Cutting back on Conservation costs more in the long run!

A report has been produced, funded by the RSPB and the UK government,
which says that the cash return from conserving wild places is far
higher than the gains made from developing them.

This reflects directly on the importance of preventing a major airport
being developed at Cliffe.
