This weekend I went up to the Cairns Crocodile Farm to photograph White-browed Crakes. There were plenty of them around in the two pond on the left as you enter the farm from the kiosk. A bigger surprise was a male Painted-snipe in the left-most of these two ponds. I first saw him on Saturday afternoon, but he was still there on Sunday morning. On Saturday afternoon I also saw a single Radjah Shelduck and about 50 Plumed Whistling-ducks. The Shelduck was in the wetland area near the Paperbark woodland on Saturday but I couldn't find it again on Sunday.
