Hi Colin I live on the coast at Sorrento in southern Victoria and for weeks have been observing White-necked Herons in the area. However on Sunday morning I opened the bedroom curtain and observed a White-necked Heron fly onto a power pole on my property. You just don't realise how big they are until they are up close and personal . A wonderful new bird for my list. Val |
