Hi All Good to see a few signs of Spring in Melbourne suburbs in July. Today I disturbed a Spotted Pardalote that was making a nesting burrow. Noisy miners have been particularly noisy and chasing each other madly and also collecting nesting material. Our major sign of spring here at home is the incessant (but very welcome) morning call of the local Little Wattlebirds, which started about a week ago. Now all we need is some warmer weather! Cheers, Merrilyn Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
