I just received an invite to the opening of the modified wetland on the
overflow of the Derby sewage works on Friday 19th July. You may remember a
thread about this last year, that much of the water is going to be used for
the nearby Derby golf course.
I won't be able to attend, but if anyone happens to be there then let me
know and I will give you the contact details.
I will be very interested to hear from anyone about how the wetland is
after it has been "modified". Hopefully Pam Masters at the Derby Tourist
Bureau will let me know.
I guess the good news is that this wetland is now officially recognised.
