Hi all,

Just letting you know there are at least 30 Swift Parrots in Bowman Park in Bardon now.  A few weeks ago one could spend half an hour there for a glimpse or less, but now they are easily seen in flocks of up to 20.

Brisbane birders, look in the row of tall Forest Red Gums at the corner of Cecil and Chiswick Roads, and ignore the stares of the bus commuters!  The Swifts have been feeding on the nectar of these six or seven trees (all with trunks around 65-80 cm in diameter) and I have had no difficulty (as I did in early June) in seeing them foraging.
