Hello folks,
may I say first of what an excellent forum
you've set up.
I am an Englsh birder visiting NSW and Vic from 26
July - 8 Aug. We are starting in Sydney, on the
Wollongong pelagic, then staying at Barren Grounds
before driving across to Round Hill, down to
Deniliquin, on to Ouyen, and then down to Melbourne
area(Werribee keys sorted).
If anyone has any firm, up to date info on sites for
any of the following species at any of the locations
on the above itinery you'd make me a very happy birder
if you could share gen:
Blue billed duck
Cape Barren goose
Australiasian bittern(where do you go at Edithvale to
maximise your chances?)
crakes/rails
Double banded plover
Hooded plover
Fairy tern
Yellow tailed back cockatoo
Gang gang
Purple crowned lorikeet
Swift parrot
Superb parrot(where do you look round Deniliqiun?)
Orange bellied parrot
Powerful and/or Sooty owls
Bell miner
Rose and/or Pink robins
Olive whistler
