G'day all

Birding-aus has been quiet lately.

Lake Linlithgow (20km east of Hamilton, sw Victoria), 22/06/02, 7 Freckled Duck
close to Chatsworth road.

Lake Bullrush, (adjacent to Lake Linlithgow), 22/06/02, 500 Banded Stilts, 100
Red-necked Avocets, 100 Red-capped Plovers, 20 Double-banded
Plovers

Langi Ghiran State Park (east of Ararat), 23/06/02, flock of about 60
White-winged Choughs, otherwise rather quiet.

Lake Buninjon (north of Willaura), 23/06/02, full of waterbirds at present.
Nothing particularly unusual but well worth a visit if you are up that way. A
few Black-tailed Native-hens are still present - they seem to have disappeared
from most of the wetlands in the district after invading late last year.

Cheers

Steve
