This morning18 Freckled Ducks were still at Pitt Town Lagoon (near Windsor,
north-west of Sydney). Also large numbers of Pink-eared Ducks, Shovelers
and Coots, a few Hoary-headed Grebes, Red-kneed Dotterels, 3 Royal
Spoonbills and a Swamp Harrier. A Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo was calling,
and not surprisingly, at least a couple of Black-shouldered Kites were
hunting around the lagoon - there seem to be large numbers of these
everywhere at present.
