A friend just back from Wollogorang in the Gulf Country passed along
two 5km. sections of remote road signposted "Fauna Protection Reflector
Test Area" (or similar) which had roadside posts equipped with reflectors
angled to direct oncoming headlight beams sideways onto the roadside verges.
He said that the number of roadkills before and after these sections was
very high, (with many of attendant raptors), but with only one in each of
the test strips.
Sounds very interesting, does anyone have relevant info. on these
reflectors and their effectiveness?
                            Cheers

                                 Michael
