At Woolooware Wetlands ( i.e. H1 or Metromix Swamp) there is a Great Crested
Grebe. We discussed this with the local NPWS staff and Matt said he did
notice a different bird about 2 weeks ago but did not have his binoculars
with him, Ken Gilmour spotted it also. Apart from the Humpback Whales at
Cape Solander! there was a Swamp Harrier, White bellied Sea Eagle and a few
Aust. Gannets.
Birds at Royal NP (south of Sydney), were enjoying the great weather, 2
Wedge tailed Eagles circled high up, all the usual birds Crested Shriketits,
Golden Whistlers, Bassian Thrush, Green Catbird, Satin Bowerbirds, Yellow
throated and White browed Scrubwrens, Rose Robins, Red Browed Finches and
Brown Warblers, etc. Judi & Neil Russill
