Hi All,
Re Anthony Katon's observation of a large flock of Wattlebirds, large Autumn and early Winter flocks of Red Wattlebirds in WA are frequently seen.
For example , on 23 May 02 at Blue Gum Lake in Mt Pleasant (Perth) i counted 55 Red Wattlebirds at approx 35 minutes prior to sunset. My personal observations indicate that these flocks around Perth are following the flowering Banksias and Eucalypts , rather than any set migration paths.
Best Regards
