Hi all (especially those living outside Australia and NZ) My dear friend JAG said "If you too have concerns about the world's oceans, and it's [UGH!] wild birds, please I beg you to write to your local politicians saying enough is enough with long line fishing that murders wild birds". Yes, please do. And don't eat bluefin tuna or patagonian tooth fish unless you know it has been caught by albatross-friendly methods and legally. Australia has led the world over this and Tony Palliser is one of those who has associated with goon-lovers in promoting the draft treaty. See: http://www.surfbirds.com/news/albatross.html Michael Norris Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
