Clive Meadows mentioned Silvereyes passing overhead in the darkness at 5.45am at Faulconbridge in the lower Blue Mountains. Here at Katoomba, I have often heard flocks of Silvereyes going over in the very early hours of the morning, from around 2 or 3am until just before dawn, especially in early autumn before the honeyeater migration starts. Can't say I've heard them this year - at last I'm trying to keep more sensible hours!
