Can I suggest for anyone having problems sending large messages to
birding-aus, to try turning off "rich text" or "html" to compose your
email. Rich text adds a lot of extra kilobytes to the message. This topic
has been raised several times before so I'm reluctant to raise it again,
but many people don't seem to be aware that Rich Text is the default
setting in some programmes (including I believe Outlook Express) - that is,
it is selected unless you tell your computer otherwise. By selecting Plain
Text you will be minimising problems for yourself and others.

Carol

P.S. It's a misty and heavily overcast morning in Katoomba (Blue Mountains
NSW) and the migrating Yellow-faced Honeyeaters are flying over in a
constant stream, in unusually high numbers for such conditions.
